With the release of his debut EP ‘Autumnal’ nearing, Joshua Howlett gives us a taster of what folk treats are in store with his single ‘Dover’

With the release of his debut EP Autumnal in near sights this month, Joshua Howlett has released the video for his latest single Dover – a track containing a blissful blend of riffs, rustic vocals and folk-indie sounds that can be best compared to Ben Howardand Damien Rice.

Growing up in both British and Swiss culture, Joshua takes the music from his British homeland and marries it with the freeing mountainous surroundings of his new home in Montreux. The setting of pebbled beaches and the cliffs of Dover in the video mirrors the feeling of tranquility that the song elicits – perfect for those slow mornings and evening wind downs.

Preceded by the lead single Dover, Joshua’s forthcoming EP lyrically promises topics of love, anxiety and change – a context that has an universal appreciation. The EP release will be accompanied by the live performances giving Joshua ample opportunity to display his loop pedal and vocaliser skills and of course his comedic, engaging personality.
