F.F.O: Stone Roses, Wolf Alice, Brian Jonestown Massacre

With a blend of neo-psych elements and a stew of skewed guitar, Suave Martyrs’ newest single release Man About Town gives the illusion of an orchestra of 15 despite the basic twin guitar reality – a band that offer innovative rock sound that we should all get to know.

Lyrically telling a lurching tale of a night out in Bury, Man About Town is a collision of riffs, spacey vocals and psychedelic sounds that defy the boundaries of rock. Driven by an almost funk/dance rhythm in sections, the band join the wave of indie-psych bands hitting the UK music scene in recent times.

With the band being beautifully split down the middle with members from both sides of the Pennines, Suave Martyrs represent both Lancashire and Yorkshire in their rising of fame and have garnered a reputation particularly in Northern England for their energetic, interactive live shows.

Drawing upon both the more 60’s influenced end of the Madchester scene and 90s US Alternative rock the band create a helter-skelter of noise that is in a league of its own.
