MIAV (short for Made in a Vacuum), is the Watford based artist who has spent the last few years crafting his ideal album after a lifetime in the music industry. He’s completely self taught, freeing himself from the constraints of rules and expectations, allowing him to transport listeners into a new realm of techno.
His new album ‘Mass’ is set to be released in September 2020 on the SupaFrequency Label and was created as both a tribute and statement designed to draw you into an emotional trance, exploring the uplifting, profound and bizarre, all set thumping electronic beats.
In an attempt to follow his own path, MIAV actively cuts out any external influences and solely focuses on his own vision – hence his sound being ‘made in a vaccum’ – ensuring an experience outside the realms of techno that you have previously explored. Throw away your expectations and dive into the wondrous world of MIAV with an open mind and desire to discover something totally unique.
The title track of the album is dedicated as a tribute to the memory of MIAV’s lost friend and speaking of his desire to honour his life and musical journey, MIAV explained:
“He spent his entire life making music but like me, never shared it and a lot has been lost with him. I’m not going to let that happen to me and I have to get this album out, partly as a tribute to him. This music NEEDS to be heard”
