Drake breaks the record for the most top 10 hits in the history of the Billboard Hot 100, as he tallies his 39th and 40th top 10s on the latest chart, dated Aug. 1.
As previously reported, DJ Khaled’s “Popstar” and “Greece,” both featuring Drake, roar onto the Hot 100 at Nos. 3 and 8, respectively.
The songs start at Nos. 3 and 4 on Streaming Songs with 28.4 million and 22.1 million streams, respectively, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. On Digital Song Sales, they arrive at Nos. 1 and 7 with a respective 15,000 and 9,000 sold. They also drew 13.1 million and 3.5 million in respective radio airplay audience in the tracking week.
The Canadian rapper has smashed the record previously held by pop superstar Madonna, and Drake shows no sign of stopping. Since his chart topping release Best I Ever Had, Drake has been dominating the commercial music market and continues to grow. Love or hate him, Drake is undeniably pure charting talent in the current industry and one of the hottest artists right now.
