February 9, 2021 Admin 0

The combination of a background in Physics & Maths as well as a PHD focusing on brain and nerve fibre dynamics, may not immediately shout art & emotions to many but read on! Contemporary abstract artist Dmitry has successfully managed to overcome his own personal challenge of analytical control combined with natural emotions to release the power of emotional art. It is as if these two opposite spectrums have collided to create a moment of powerful realisation for Dmitry’s art – he captures a moment and expresses his feelings of harmony between the intangible and the tangible through his ‘Emotional Painting’.

Dmitry is an honest and passionate artist who truly believes that art can help us to create positive and powerful emotions. How Does A Photograph Stand Out In A World Of ‘Photographers – Can Photojournalist David Hicks Help You To Stand Out?

February 1, 2021 Admin 0

In a world where cameras are at our fingertips, tucked away in our pockets at all times, just how does a photograph remain unique and innovating?

Anyone can take a photo, perhaps not a good one, but with the wonders of modern technology the means to do so are widely available to all. Has this accessibility meant a loss in authenticity to the world of photography?

I would beg to differ. Whilst indeed anyone can take a photo, not everyone can capture the magic of a moment.

A photograph is more than the snapping of an iPhone camera, it is the snapshot of a single second that tells an entire story in just one frame, this is not necessarily an easy photographic technique but perhaps more the eye of an inquisitive photographer.

Good photographs require depth, texture and genuine feeling; something the simple click of a button won’t give you, it is far more than just clever photographic technique.

Take the works of photojournalist David Hicks. Hicks captures fascinating imagery, full of ..

US Based Jordan Dean Releases EP Inspired by British Artists

January 24, 2021 Admin 0

Ohio-raised Jordan Dean may have grown up in a world of American music, influence and lifestyle, but his true passion and inspiration comes from a place a bit further away from home.

With inspo from some of the UK’s indie giants like The Kooks and Arctic Monkeys, Jordan combines his musical heritage with the sounds of his favourite British bands to create something fresh that’s incredibly accessible to anyone, anywhere. 2021 is beginning to look like an exciting year for Jordan, with the upcoming release of his EP, ‘Local’.

The title track by the same name is a bouncy tune that’s perfect to jam out to while lying down in a sunny field. Featuring a twangy guitar riff and some spoken-word lyrics, this song brings something unique to the scene.

‘Rabbit Hole’ is another noteworthy track, a little slower and more solemn. It keeps the EP’s consistency with the same guitar sound, just with a new riff and a totally new story. These songs are reminiscent of other new indie artists like Con..

Glitter -Bicep Say DJs Performing at Raves During COVID-19 is “Absolutely disgusting”

January 21, 2021 Admin 0

House giants Bicep have spoken out about large raves happening across the continent during the national lockdown and Pandemic.

The comments come after some big name DJs such as Nina Kraviz and Dax J performed at some large, legal raves in Europe that apparently weren’t socially distanced.

“Seeing these established DJs who have money playing big raves during a pandemic is just absolutely disgusting,” Matt McBriar told The Independent. “It’s drawn a line between the artists who think like businessmen and strategise on how to extract as much money as possible from everything, and the people who are driven by creativity.”

“They don’t need to do this,” added Andy Ferguson. “Take a year off, write an album. So many people lower down in dance music are struggling and this paints the whole industry in a bad light. It’s just that their egos need constant massaging.”

They also aired their frustrations about how the UK government has handled the British nightlife and hospitality industry duri..

Glitter: YUNGBLUD and Machine Gun Kelly in Zombie Apocalypse in New Video: Acting Like That

January 21, 2021 Admin 0

Continuing with the plethora of content from last year, YUNGBLUD treats us all to third collab with rap-turned-pop punk legend Machine Gun Kelly, finally giving us the video that we all have waited so long for

Mirroring the same vibe as previous video collab I Think I’m OKAY, but with a major apocalyptic twist – zombies are about.

The boys are both reaching the end of a long, heavy night of partying when suddenly zombies strike! But they don’t care, continuing to party and play for the dead, similarly to how they did in the last video, where they performed on a raise platform to adoring fans with their arms in in the air. This time, the “fans” arms are in the air for a different reason – they want their blood!

This video is a quintessential YUNGBLUD and MGK collaboration, with eccentric outfits and makeup, attitude and huge energy. The only thing missing is the two of them being able to be together…perhaps we can hope that by time they come round to filming something for their third..

Greer Baxter shines with electro-pop single ‘Sleeping on the Couch’

January 14, 2021 Admin 0

New York born and raised Greer Baxter is one to watch, already claiming 2021 as her year with new single Sleeping on the Couch. Written and produced by Baxter herself, the new single tells us the story of arguing with the one you love, and as the title suggests, sleeping on the couch as a result. It’s about not letting the fight get between you, and making amends after what is usually a petty spat.

“I wrote this song about suddenly being at odds with the person you love and trying to make sense of it. We’ve all had a night sleeping on the couch and we wake up in the morning thinking: why would we let a fight keep us apart for the night? It’s about wanting to resolve it before falling asleep and wondering if the other person feels the same.”
Greer Baxter

The single follows Greer’s 2019 EP Bleed, and is quite a brilliant sequel for old fans to listen to, whilst also an impressive introduction to her talents for new ones. An avid musician from a young age, Greer has developed her skills..
