Saint Mars have unveiled a brand new video for Ocean Blues [Acoustic Version]. The original track appeared on the 2016 ‘Ocean Blues EP’ and featured the vocals of front man Marc Darcange. But, having teamed up with vocal wunderkind Tryzdin Grubbs for forthcoming album ‘Celesteville’, the band have re-released Ocean Blues as an acoustic version featuring the teenager’s stunning vocals.
Marc Darcange said of the collaboration: “At the time of Ocean Blues (2016 version), Angelo Bruschini [guitarist] showed up…then Jason X [guitars/keys]… then Tryzdin. With him, it was as if Ocean Blues finally came to life and the character I had created for the song manifested in flesh and bones…I have this strange feeling the song had been written for him and he’s been there from the beginning.”
Saint Mars are gearing up for the release of ‘Celesteville’, due out later this year. The concept of the album is centered on the true story of one 13 year-old boy’s tragic experience as a result of sustained bullying. The band enlisted the vocals of viral sensation Tryzdin to give authenticity to the tracks sung by the protagonist, little realising that Tryzdin himself has suffered significantly as a result of bullying.
