After winning ‘Song of the Month’ and ‘Top 10 Song of the Year’, Michael Jones has released his latest heartfelt hit, ‘Melts Away’.
However, his life wasn’t always centred around a musical career. Initially, he was born in Pennsylvania, attending Bristol University in the UK where he studied English Literature.
He then went on to obtain a BA in literature at VIllanova as well as a law qualification. Suffice to say, this guy is very talented.
His background of literature has left him in good stead though, providing Michael with an excellent vocabulary to create such powerful lyrics.
With all this in mind, ‘Melts Away’ looks set to build on his ever-growing reputation.
Following in the footsteps of Messiahs like Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, Michael has joined an elite group of poets-turned-musicians. Like these two greats, he puts so much passion into his new track, really showcasing the talent he possesses.
As the song begins, we’re treated to a soft guitar melody, relaxing you from the start.
This is something which is incredibly important throughout, helping you to really take note of the lyrics and heed what he has to say.
From start to finish, the song is incredibly honest, exploring the singers most personal thoughts and feelings.
The calming drum and guitar notes reinforce the laid-back, relaxed nature of the song and ensures that we’re focused to listen to what Michaelis telling us.
This combination of lyrics and sound is something he champions heavily:
