Yes you read that right, Glasgow-based Chris Andreucci is emerging unto the historically rich Nashville (USA) music scene, and doing it so well.
Grooving and sweet, Scotland’s very own Chris Andreucci is about to release his stunning new EP What Don’t Kill You. The Scottish artist has his hopes set high, with infamous Nashville label Century Music Group on his side, Chris Andreucci is ready to take the country genre by storm.
Upcoming EP What Don’t Kill You is a stunning collection of smooth country tracks, filled with sugary sweet vocals, twangy guitars and mournful lyricism.
Highlights from the project include Tonight I’m Yours, a soulful love song with a rolling beat and some hopeful harmonies, as well as Freedom: a slow, sultry take on the country genre with a juxtaposed sorrowful yet punchy lyricism.
One thing’s for sure, What Don’t Kill You is set to establish Chris Andreucci as one of country’s best international artists. With his heart truly belonging to Nashville, Chris has his sights set on moving to the home of country music.
Chris is no rookie to the game either, having performed shows at Glasgow’s iconic venue King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut and the Celtic Connections show at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall; Chris Andreucci really knows how to put on a show.
With Scotland well and truly conquered by the country protégé, Chris Andreucci is ready to dive across the pond and take over the Nashville scene as well. After a tumultuous 2020 that’s seen many plans derailed, Chris Andreucci’s included, 2021 will hopefully see the artist achieve his dreams and make it to Nashville.
The Scottish songwriter explains the ups and downs of this crazy year:
“2020 has been a crazy year. It was set to be a year full of highs – a performance at C2C Festival at The Hydro in Glasgow alongside my favourite artists such as Luke Combs, an EP launch and then a move out to Nashville in July. But in reality, like so many other people, the year was filled with lows.
All my shows were cancelled or rescheduled due to COVID and as a direct result of this my visa application fell through as I had no activities lined up. In addition, the social distancing measures and restrictions in place slowed down the EP release process.
I’ve been fortunate enough to still be able to do something that I love and I’m hopeful that next year things will slowly get back to normal. I’m looking forward to playing the rescheduled C2C gig in Glasgow as well as the Texas Scottish Festival, in Decatur next May.”
Chris Andreucci is revved up and ready to take on America, with a distinctly smooth sound and a traditional country style delivered with sultry Scottish flair, Chris is driving in his own lane.
What Don’t Kill You is set for release on 21st December and is sure to establish Chris Andreucci as a rising star in country.
