For many, lockdown 3.0 has made us feel like singing the blues because we were so hopeful for a new year and a fresh start.
In the latest episode of ‘Just Checking In’, Chloe Mogg gives us 10 top tips to help us combat the lockdown blues.
Despite how difficult it may seem sometimes, we have to remember that it’s not all doom and gloom.
Watch the latest episode with Chloe to help you stay present and stay positive.
Chloe explores 10 useful tips to keep us happy and entertained through what is a very boring time in our lives (but hopefully a short one).
So here are just some of the top tips she recommends. For the rest, you’ll have to watch the video!
Learn something new
Let’s face it, we have a lot of time on our hands, perhaps too much. Instead of binge watching Bridgeton (which EVERYONE seems to be doing at the moment), Chloe advises us to learn something new.
It would be a great time to learn an instrument, or to try cook that recipe which you burned last time you tried.
It’s an old saying but it’s also a very true one – you’re never too old to learn something new!
For example, my mum’s finally learnt how to upload a picture to Instagram. It only took her 8 months.
Accept that things are different for a while
Chloe reminds us to keep our minds active, stick to the guidelines and stay healthy.
The truth is, we don’t know how long this will last, and we don’t know if this is the new normal because what is normal anymore?
But it’s important to accept the reality of the situation; staying present and not worrying about the future is a great coping mechanism for a time that is so uncertain.
