Juice Wrld’s fans crashed his Spotify and Apple Music pages, just moments after the release of his posthumous album, Legends Never Die.
The Lucid Dreams rapper died from an accidental overdose in December, 2019, aged 21. His estate dropped his third album on 10 July, seven months after his death – with fans rushing to have a listen.
However, there were so many trying to access his new offering that his pages on streaming services crashed under the surge – with Spotify trending on Twitter.
Juice Wrld – real name Jarad Higgins – died at the end of last year, after suffering a seizure in Chicago’s Midway airport.
He had toxic levels of Oxycodone and codeine in his system at the time of his death. The rapper’s family have been releasing his music ever since, as a way of honouring his memory.
Juice Wrld’s untimely death was a devastating loss for the music industry, ‘Legends Never Die’ is an all too fitting title for the rapper who was lost too soon.
