Alt-pop singer/songwriter Martha Hill originally hails from rural Scotland but has now made her home in the North East of England. Since releasing her debut single ‘Spiders’ just two years ago, she has established her unique sound locally and beyond thanks to her thoughtful, hard-hitting lyrics and addictive pop hooks.
Her new single ‘Grilled Cheese’ explores the downfall of a relationship and the journey towards moving on as a stronger person, with vulnerable lyrics that are sure to resonate with anyone who is currently going through, or has ever experienced a difficult breakup. The upbeat choruses and addictive guitar make this perfect break up anthem to dance around your bedroom to and sing at the top of your lungs to help pick yourself back up. You can now enjoy ‘Grilled Cheese’ in it’s full glory with the newly released music video which allows Martha’s personality and relatability shine through even further.
Some of Martha’s other must listen tracks include Spiders, Reborn and Be Still and her new EP ‘Summer Up North’ is now available to pre-order via the link below. If you enjoy alt-pop/indie favourites Phoebe Bridgers, SOAK and Soccer Mommy, you won’t regret giving her a listen.
