Self-taught guitar king, Tod Almond, returns with the ultimate classic-rock album If Only You Could See, released 2nd October 2020.
The Cambridge based artist will shortly be giving us a taste of what the album has to offer with the release of the lead track, Start Again on the 4th of September this year.
The track provides the perfect introduction into Tod’s musical world, with obvious musical influences ranging from classic bands of the 60s through to present-day punk. With gritty guitar chords, harmonising vocals and melodic drive, the track superbly demonstrates Tod’s songwriting sensibilities.

If Only You Could See is a creation that comes straight from Tod’s heart. The honest, raw and reflective nature of the song collection has beautifully highlighted the importance of his children in his life:
“My children keep asking me, ‘When will you be on Spotify?’ I said, ‘It won’t be long’. They just want me to be something. I really want them to hear, see and feel my happiness”
Tod Almond
Any musician will know the joys and struggles of working with others in the industry. Tod won’t be the first artist to have experienced disappearing band members and empty promises, but we admire him for making the decision to go solo and build his own digital studio. Having taught himself acoustic guitar as a teenager and then going on to learn electric guitar, drums and bass, Tod has become a veritable one-man band.
With an inspiring rock-lovers album on the horizon, Tod is surly the guitar teacher we all wish we had!
