Award-winning poet and song-writer Michael Jones has released a new single, The Crossroads, ahead of his upcoming EP.

Channeling influence from progressive rock, jazz, pop and blues, Nonviolenze’s cross-genre album ‘Ghosts of War’ is a mesmerising experience.

Born in India and now based in Houston, Texas, Shri Baratan, aka the genius behind Nonviolenze, creates poetic tracks that can be simply described as visionary.

‘Ghosts of War’ features 9 tracks that share the same themes and philosophical lyrics. Touching upon hard-hitting matters of poverty and politics, the album also adds lyrical content on human rights and equality, something the world always needs to hear more about.

His background in poetry is evident, while Jones has created an overwhelming response from listeners and critics alike, landing him awards and worldwide radio play for his tracks ‘We Are Soldiers’ and ‘What is this Life For?’. “Melts Away is a song that challenges the overplayed notion that relationships are only ‘real’ if one gives up all of themselves to the other person. This is a song about holding onto what is sacred and personal at the deepest human level. It’s about the core of you that makes you ‘you’, being the deepest source of each person’s unique magic. It is advice of an unconventional sort, that holds to the foundation of a firm and private self as the temple from which the ability to love another emanates”
