X factor star, Melanie Masson, is back with a brand new single “Why Don’t You Love Me?”. Her decision to cover one of Beyoncé’s powerful creations fittingly supports her mission to fight back on behalf of any woman who has faced rejection.
The track, which will be released independently in a true Woman Power manner, is dedicated to women who have faced rejection of any kind, whether it be due to gender, age or ethnicity. Becoming a mother at the age of 40, Melanie has seen first hand the prejudice related to how women are perceived as they get older. Looking to break the still long-held industry-standard of dismissing women for consideration as they enter their thirties and forties, Melanie is passionate about fighting for the rights of women from all backgrounds.
Produced by renowned producer Tristan Longworth (Brand New Heavies) and refreshingly using all live musicians and instruments, the track showcases Melanies’s powerhouse vocals with a bold, truthful and defiant message.

The singer and songwriter first captured the British public with her heart-rending performance of Janis Joplin’s “Cry Baby” on the X Factor back in 2012. Her first audition video has stacked up millions of views on YouTube, with audiences around the world instantly falling in love with her infectiously engaging personality. She reached the live finals and has since gone on to tour all over the world and perform alongside massive artists such as Pink and The Stereophonics. She has also previously been a solo recording artist on EMI records, a session singer, and had Top 40 hits with WiFi and also with The Bassheads.
Staying true to her theme of Woman Power, Melanie is in the early stages of setting up a record label run by and for women. You go, girl!
