Melanie Masson has already made a name for herself with her previous single ‘Why Don’t You Love Me?’ and now she’s back with a new, stunningly aesthetic track ‘Seasons’.
The single is a northern soul rendition of the much loved hit Seasons (Waiting on You) by Future Islands, and has even received praise from the band themselves with William Cashion dubbing it “a beautiful version”.
The cover, produced by Tristan Longworth, featured all live musicians and instruments to create a rich, soulful sound that highlights Melanie’s stunning vocals. The single also comes with a beautifully-filmed music video directed by Simone Lahbib (currently a regular in Eastenders), perfectly capturing the picturesque scenes of Autumn that compliments the track’s whimsical feel.
If you feel like you’ve seem Melanie before, it’s most likely from her X-Factor audition where she captured the hearts of the public with her stunning cover of Janis Joplin’s ‘Cry Baby’, racking up millions of views on YouTube. After making it all the way to the live finals, she solidified herself as an X-Factor favourite and introduced blues music to fans of all ages.
