‘My Dying Bride’ Mispronunciation Makes Merch Masterpiece
Sky News presenter Gillian Joseph slipped up by announcing ‘My Dying Bride’ as ‘My Dying Wife’ to the dismay of fans. Instead of being offended, the band showed their sense of humour by creating a piece of merch to honour the moment, the proceeds of which will be donated to the ‘UK Metal Merger Campaign’. The campaign is a team of metal bands that have come together to raise money for live music crews that have gone through a hard time not being able to work in lockdown. Their song ‘Sorizon’ is a great representation of current metal rock bands and not to be missed if ‘Cradle Of Filth’ is up your street.

Winchester 7 & The Runners release a classic 80’s rock tune ‘When The World Stops Spinning’ with a ukulele twist
This one-man band creation is jam packed with classic 80’s rock sounds and psychedelic inspiration. Perfect for a bar brawl scene in a movie, this track has classic washed out cymbals and reverberated vocals, culminating in a colourful instrumental bridge that really takes the song to another level.
There is a brilliant character to this song, from the souped up ukulele to the cloned band members, inspired by Logan’s Run. The lyrics are pared back to leave room for the lively instrumental, the song builds up really well and is a definite foot tapper.
The lyric video has a persona of its own, with fun disguises for each ‘band member’ and hypnotic visuals, making you feel like you’re trapped in a strange loop that you can’t get out of, representing the lyrics of running away again and again but getting nowhere. Commenting on society’s prejudice and the common feeling that many have of not-fitting-in, 21-year-old Anglo-Belgian singer, InHibit (Noah Roovers) has released his latest single ‘The Quest’.

Vanderocker returns with electric new EP ‘The Good Punk’
One of the freshest up-and-comers in alternative indie, Vanderocker, is preparing to release her latest EP, The Good Punk, on the 13th November.
Including four new tracks, including lead track Supercell, as well as a bonus instrumental and a short film on the way, Vanderocker has reaffirmed her status as an exciting and intriguing newcomer to the scene.
With the EP touching on subjects such as duality, voyeurism and sex – through the medium of psychedelic, indie electro-pop – it promises to be a body of art rather than a collection of songs.
As well as writing all the music and performing several of the instruments across the EP, Vanderocker (full name Adrienne Vanderocker) also collaborates with Joe Cocker, Peter Holmström, and producer Brandon Eggleston on The Good Punk.
