Melanie Masson’s Beautiful New Single – Seasons

Melanie Masson has just released her latest single, ‘Seasons’, a beautiful take on Future Islands’ hit single ‘Seasons (Waiting on you)’, already receiving huge praise from the band’s assist, who deemed it a “Beautiful Version”.

The single comes as a follow up from her acclaimed first single ‘Why Don’t You Love Me?‘. Produced by the renowned producer Tristan Longworth, using only live musicians and instruments, the track showcases Melanie’s beautiful vocal talent and brings us back to a time when music was pure, untampered and beautiful.

The beautifully-shot video was created by the critically acclaimed director Simone Lahbib (currently a regular in Eastenders) and sets exactly the type of scene that we wish to return back to post-pandemic! J Carlyle releases new R&B single ‘Intruder Alert’, using his music to raise awareness for mental health issues

J Carlyle has already proven himself as a true all-rounder, blending his love for rap and poetry into a unique sound that makes him stand out from the hundreds of hopeful upcoming musicians putting themselves out there.

He’s already one step ahead of the game, having received praise from big names such as BBC Introducing and GRM Daily for his fusion of genres; he hopes he can further establish himself as one to watch within the UK rap scene with the release of his new single.

Carlyle is no newcomer to music, having started writing tracks at the age of 15, drawing influence from a range of styles such as Reggae, Old School Dub, R&B and Dancehall, he even spent time exploring as a grime MC before eventually falling into the fusion sound we hear from him today.

2020 was a big year for the artist and brought the release of his debut EP ‘Calculating the Ifs’, which racked up impressive streaming hits and only encouraged him more to keep pushing to release more music.

Alt-rock artist InHibit releases hit new single ‘The Quest’

21 year old Brussel-based singer and composer Noah Roovers, AKA InHibit, has taken his cue from some of the most influential alt-rock artists over the last three decades as inspiration for his latest single.

Glitter -Bicep Say DJs Performing at Raves During COVID-19 is “Absolutely disgusting”

House giants Bicep have spoken out about large raves happening across the continent during the national lockdown and Pandemic.

The comments come after some big name DJs such as Nina Kraviz and Dax J performed at some large, legal raves in Europe that apparently weren’t socially distanced.

“Seeing these established DJs who have money playing big raves during a pandemic is just absolutely disgusting,” Matt McBriar told The Independent. “It’s drawn a line between the artists who think like businessmen and strategise on how to extract as much money as possible from everything, and the people who are driven by creativity.”

“They don’t need to do this,” added Andy Ferguson. “Take a year off, write an album. So many people lower down in dance music are struggling and this paints the whole industry in a bad light. It’s just that their egos need constant massaging.”

Continuing with the plethora of content from last year, YUNGBLUD treats us all to third collab with rap-turned-pop punk legend Machine Gun Kelly, finally giving us the video that we all have waited so long for

Mirroring the same vibe as previous video collab I Think I’m OKAY, but with a major apocalyptic twist – zombies are about.

The boys are both reaching the end of a long, heavy night of partying when suddenly zombies strike! But they don’t care, continuing to party and play for the dead, similarly to how they did in the last video, where they performed on a raise platform to adoring fans with their arms in in the air. This time, the “fans” arms are in the air for a different reason – they want their blood!

This video is a quintessential YUNGBLUD and MGK collaboration, with eccentric outfits and makeup, attitude and huge energy. The only thing missing is the two of them being able to be together…perhaps we can hope that by time they come round to filming something for their third..

Greer Baxter’s “Sleeping on the Couch” is one indie pop song that is set to blast its way through portable speakers across all university campuses in 2021. This captivating song details the all too relatable tale of sleeping on the couch after an argument with a loved one.

Greer Baxter’s insanely compelling voice conveys all the emotional pain of an argument with your other half. The song’s infectious melody only adds to the commanding piano presence and pounding drum beats to create an irresistible, evocative atmosphere. Baxter explains:

“I wrote this song about suddenly being at odds with the person you love and trying to make sense of it. We’ve all had a night sleeping on the couch and we wake up in the morning thinking: why would we let a fight keep us apart for the night? It’s about wanting to resolve it before falling asleep and wondering if the other person feels the same.”
