FKA Twigs has taken to Instagram to tease the release of new music this week, over a year after the release of her second album ‘MAGDALENE’.

Surrey Sound: Leoscappin Set To Release Alienated EP.

The likes of Young Adz, M Huncho, Wewantwraiths and many more have perfected the sound of melodic rap in the current UK scene. Sometimes the centralised world of music can force us to be ignorant of new waves and talent around us.

This leads to a young rising star by the name Leoscappin. Despite having Japanese heritage and growing up in Brazil, it is clear the young artist living in Surrey is influenced by the melodic wave which is prevalent in UK and American Hip Hop.

At Just 17 years old, he has been able to Amass over 9000 monthly listeners on Spotify, with his most popular track to date being ‘‘Adderall’.‘

Fans and music lovers alike will be glad to be able to indulge in his unique sound in the form of his anticipated E.P ‘Alienated’, coming out on the 5th February.

Greer Baxter’s ‘Sleeping On The Couch’: Out Now.

We have all been there. A huge fight with your boyfriend, girlfriend, wife or husband, and now you’re not only in separate rooms, but you must take that walk of shame to the couch with your pillow in hand.

That’s the scenario that Greer Baxter’s new song ”Sleeping on the Couch” personifies. Taking inspiration off artists such as Regina Spector and Alanis Morisette, Greer urges couples not to let a fight come between them and drive them apart.

“I wrote this song about suddenly being at odds with the person you love and trying to make sense of it. We’ve all had a night sleeping on the couch and we wake up in the morning thinking: why would we let a fight keep us apart for the night? It’s about wanting to resolve it before falling asleep and wondering if the other person feels the same.”

Quite Great TV have released episode 5 of ‘Just Checking In’ – a series that raises awareness for mental health and invisible disabilities during a tough time for all of us. Hoping to help others during these uncertain times, the series was started back in November 2020 by Quite Great’s own Chloe Mogg.

Episode 5 talks about 10 ways to help combat those lockdown blues we’re all feeling. Coming at a time where we’re all tired of this new ‘normal’, the video is an optimistic outlook that things will get easier, but reminds us that in the short term, we must look after ourselves.

Pop singer-songwriter Greer Baxter releases latest single ‘Sleeping on the Couch’

New York City native Greer Baxter is a pop singer-songwriter that should be in everybody’s playlist. Written and produced by the songwriter herself, latest single ‘Sleeping on the Couch‘ tells the story of sleeping on the sofa after a rough argument with the one you love.

For fans of fellow kick-ass women Regina Spektor and Alanis Morissette, Greer Baxter’s music is armed with an authentic alt-pop sound, ready to sooth the soul.

Speaking on the release, Greer states, “I wrote this song about suddenly being at odds with the person you love and trying to make sense of it. Leoscappin set to release chilled out rap EP ‘Alienated’

Surrey based rapper Leoscappin is set to release his new EP ‘Alienated’ on February 5th. Despite having grown up in Brazil, the artist is currently settled in England, and it’s melodic American hip-hop that influences his sound. Quite the combination, then.

The lead track from the EP, ‘Lost You’, features smooth rap vocals, addictive synth and is perfect for anyone looking for something to chill out to. His thoughtful, topical lyrics are sure to resonate with many and his effortless vocals are enough to make anyone jealous of his potential.

Speaking about his experiences writing music, Leoscappin explained:

I’ve just listened to one of the most memorable singles I’ve heard for months. J Carlyle’s new single “Intruder Alert” is a statement of intent for the poet cum rapper who has his eyes firmly set on chart success.

J Carlyle’s sublime soliloquies merged with an ecstatic melody creates what can only be described as an addictively catchy single. J Carlyle’s vocal delivery is also impeccable, as he flawlessly expresses the words he has written with clinical force.
