Leoscappin’s brand new EP ‘Alienated’ is out of this world

Based in Surrey, England, British-Asian rapper Leoscappin is the latest artist to take the UK trap scene by storm with upcoming release ‘Alienated’ set to drop on the 5th February this year.

Combining elements of American rap with his current British trap roots, Leoscappin’s new EP brings the best of both worlds into an easy and melodic listen, perfect for anyone to dip their toes into.

An actor, rapper and writer, Leoscappin’s latest EP is a call to listeners about believing in yourself even through tough times and in spite of other’s opinions.

The EP features a warm instrumental mix of vocals, guitar and hi hats atop intriguing lyrical storytelling. Some notable tracks include the opening song, Lost You, which begins the EP with a catchy synth riff that is repeated throughout the track. The gradual introduction of an 80’s tone alongside lyrics touching on self-appreciation really brings home the driving message of the EP, and sets the mood for the track list.

US Based Jordan Dean Releases EP Inspired by British Artists

Ohio-raised Jordan Dean may have grown up in a world of American music, influence and lifestyle, but his true passion and inspiration comes from a place a bit further away from home.

With inspo from some of the UK’s indie giants like The Kooks and Arctic Monkeys, Jordan combines his musical heritage with the sounds of his favourite British bands to create something fresh that’s incredibly accessible to anyone, anywhere. 2021 is beginning to look like an exciting year for Jordan, with the upcoming release of his EP, ‘Local’.

Continuing with the plethora of content from last year, YUNGBLUD treats us all to third collab with rap-turned-pop punk legend Machine Gun Kelly, finally giving us the video that we all have waited so long for

Mirroring the same vibe as previous video collab I Think I’m OKAY, but with a major apocalyptic twist – zombies are about.

The boys are both reaching the end of a long, heavy night of partying when suddenly zombies strike! But they don’t care, continuing to party and play for the dead, similarly to how they did in the last video, where they performed on a raise platform to adoring fans with their arms in in the air. This time, the “fans” arms are in the air for a different reason – they want their blood!

Anita Gabrielle Releases EP to Raise Funds for Parkinson’s

Singer songwriter and activist Anita Gabrielle has experienced her fair share of struggles and obstacles during her music career; from being a woman, being gay, and now being a little bit older in the industry, she finds her opportunities to be limited – but this does not stop her from powering through!

The latest EP – Just Neat – was inspired by her brother who is suffering with Parkinson’s Disease, released with the aim to raise money and awareness for the assistance of others living with the condition.

With her brother being the inspiration behind her picking up a guitar and writing music in the late 60’s, this was a beautiful ode to their relationship.

Gabrielle even recruited the help of Grammy Award Winning Amy Wadge (best known for songwriting collaborations with Ed Sheeran), who plays pianos and sings on the EP.

Greer Baxter shines with electro-pop single ‘Sleeping on the Couch’

New York born and raised Greer Baxter is one to watch, already claiming 2021 as her year with new single Sleeping on the Couch. Written and produced by Baxter herself, the new single tells us the story of arguing with the one you love, and as the title suggests, sleeping on the couch as a result. It’s about not letting the fight get between you, and making amends after what is usually a petty spat.

“I wrote this song about suddenly being at odds with the person you love and trying to make sense of it. We’ve all had a night sleeping on the couch and we wake up in the morning thinking: why would we let a fight keep us apart for the night? It’s about wanting to resolve it before falling asleep and wondering if the other person feels the same.”
