The Real J Israel Releases New Holiday Single “Be Grateful (Give Thanks)”

Atlanta-based R&B artist known as The Real J Israel recently released a single celebrating the holiday season entitled “Be Grateful (Give Thanks)” on November 25th. The Real J Israel made his debut in 2019 with the release of his single, “Freaky Tonight,” and things have only been going up for this emerging artist. This is the first holiday song released by The Real J Israel but it sounds like it could soon be an instant classic.

“This song is really close to me. As a young boy we would visit Anny/Grandma for the holidays and every visit she would have me sit at the piano with my dad and sing to her while she played. ‘Be Grateful (Give Thanks)’ brings back those memories and reminds us of the times that we need to appreciate” – The Real J Israel

The Real J Israel got his start singing gospel music in churches but shifted to R&B music when he launched his solo career. Any listener can still clearly hear his gospel influences on his new music and that is especially evident on “Be Grate..

Single Spotlight: sV – Summer Snow

It’s not easy to listen to someone being mentally torn apart, to have their innermost personal thoughts laid bare on a song is often a heartbreaking experience. With RnB riser sV, however, his stripped-back single ‘Summer Snow’ may be a lesson in heartbreak but is a refreshingly cathartic and emotionally relatable experience.

With a history soaked deep in fashion design, experience producing music for acts in China and Korea as well as crafting his debut EP (or self-proclaimed ‘mini album’) ar..

Single Review: Love Is In The Air – Rachel Davie Lee

Not many would dare challenge the namesake of the John Paul Young classic, but in the case of rising R&B renegade Rachel Davie Lee there’s no doubt that there’s room for the two heavyweights to co-exist.

Unlike the piano-led belter that most will resonate such a name with, Rachel Davie Lee heads in a more stripped back direction, flirting with flattering electronics and soft, steady percussion for a more meditated interpretation of what a ‘banger’ can be.

With a background as a Compliance Of..

Single Review: Rachel Davie Lee – Love Is In The Air

Stars can take years for their light to reach us but that doesn’t make them any less dazzling. Confused? Well just because rising R&B star Rachel Davie Lee released her world-class single ‘Love Is In The Air’ in August doesn’t make it any less relevant now, or make the track any less captivating for that matter.

In a successful attempt to dissociate the track with its heavily-weighted namesake, Lee redefines the expected bombast of an R&B ‘banger’ – replacing the ostentatious bass booms and predictable rhythms with a more meditated approach; the result is one of the genre’s most intriguing and endearing releases this year.

Serving in daylight as a Compliance Officer and surrounded by family and relatives that make the title of ‘judge’ look simply above average, Lee goes from one competitive environment to the other – only this time in search of a creative outlet. With that said, Lee never holds back on ‘Love Is In The Air’ and neither does she on the rest of her ‘Barely Concealed’ d..

J Carlyle releases highly-praised single ‘Intruder Alert’

Emily Lindsell

J Carlyle’s new single ‘Intruder Alert’, released February 5th, has already accumulated huge amounts of praise from listeners and critics alike, with BBC Introducing dubbing the track an “Absolute Banger”!

J has been involved in the musical scene since the young age of 15, when he started writing his own songs in-line with a few of the different genres he enjoyed. The influences of these genres have stuck with J as he has begun to release his own music – dancehall, R&B and grime to name a few! Incorporating these styles into his own creations has lead to J feeling as though he’s finally found his place within music, releasing tracks that he was born to make and put out into the world.

However, the influences of genres he grew up around aren’t the only thing that can be clearly heard through his music. J has such a positive outlook on life that he’s now bringing to his music as his tracks ooze positive vibes and feel-good tempos, something that is influenced from his ..
